KITCHEN RENOVATION

By extending the wall to the left of the kitchen window, removing the original peninsula and adding an island, we were able to give this kitchen a new look with improved flow and functionality.

Adding a small wall and removing the peninsula had the effect of opening up the eating area instead of closing it off, which created a much better flow from the kitchen to the eating area. Additionally, the added wall allowed us to include more upper cabinets to store glassware closest to where it will be used, while allowing us to move the dishwasher closer to where it would be used most. Finally, by adding the island, we provided this house that loves to cook a better work area with a pullout garage close at hand to keep their prep area organized.
